Constituted on August 22, 1833, Mt. Tabor Baptist Church became one of the first churches in the newly established Forsyth County, GA. The church was located near the old Federal Road in the Cherokee Nation following the Georgia Land Lottery of 1832 in a community locally called Frogtown.
